Python Developer, graduate of The Iron Yard Academy.

First and foremost, at the Iron Yard I have learned to solve problems analytically and to think like a programmer. In addition to learning the Python programming language, I learned Flask and SQLAlchemy for web development. I also learned NumPy, Pandas and SciKitLearn to analyze data and explore different methods of machine learning.

Before arriving at the Iron Yard, I've had some diverse career experiences. After graduating from Duke in 2002, I spent two years studying and performing improvisational comedy in New York City. In 2004 I returned to Durham to attend Duke Divinity School where I received my Masters in Theological Studies in 2006. Since then I have been working in early education in the Triangle area, most recently as an administrator at the Frank Porter Graham Child Care Program.

Waitlist

Waitlist is a Trello clone that I worked on as a weekend project at the Iron Yard. I worked with one other Python student and two Front-End Students. We Python students created a REST API which was used by the Front End.
